Colombian company Conceptos Plásticos saw two pressing issues in the world and decided to tackle both with recycled building materials. One issue is the housing crisis, prevalent in Latin America where 80 percent of the population now resides in urban areas. The second is the overwhelming amount of plastic crowding landfills. To combat these issues, Conceptos Plásticos recycles plastic into LEGO-like building blocks that families can use to easily construct their own homes.
2. WASTED

WASTED is a company that encourages people to turn you glass-, paper-, textiles- and plastic waste into discounts and rewards at local retailers, shops, restaurants and cafes.

For every bag of wast that you seperate, you receive a digital coins. You can get discounts on coffee, beers, events, soups, bike repairs,massages, yoga lessons, bitterballen, dinners, tools, furniture and more!
3. Community Plastics

Community Plastics has been collecting plastic since 2014, and they are doing everything they can to save the raw material plastic from the mountain of waste. Processing usually takes place in a number of steps. First the collection, then it is sorted by plastic type, then it is washed, shredded and then melted into new products.

They do the processing with volunteers from the area and they give workshops where the entire process is explained.
4. SCRAP XL

In the store SCRAP they sell industrial residual material, to you, to municipalities, to schools and numerous organizations, to use as craft and re- and up cycle projects

Suppliers of SCRAP are companies that make their stand, sawing or cutting waste, surplus stock, rejected parts or surpluses available. Only clean materials are collected.
